Terms and Conditions

Design service - Our cake designs are original and made to order. We work with our customers to create a bespoke design, or you can choose something from our portfolio. Colours can be tailored to complement your celebration themes.

Consultation and taster sessions - We welcome consultations by appointment, and upon request can provide sample tastings. We are also happy to liaise over telephone and email to finalise custom designs.

Lead times - A lot of love and devotion (and planning and purchasing of supplies) goes into the cakes here at The Little Cakery. So our preference would be a minimum of 3 months notice for wedding cakes, and 1 months notice for all other celebration cakes. Gift cupcake boxes can be purchased on 3 days notice. If you’ve been rushed off your feet and have left the cake until the last minute, do drop us a line – we’ll still do our best to help.

Payment - A 50% deposit is required upon placing the order. The remaining 50% balance must be paid 60 days before collection/delivery date for orders £200 and over, and 30 days before collection/delivery date for orders under £200. Payments can be made by cash, cheque, electronic transfer or Paypal.

Cancellation Policy - Your 50% deposit is non-refundable. 50% of the total cost will be refunded if at least 60 days notice is provided. 25% of the total cost will be refunded if at least 30 days notice is provided. No monies will be refunded is cancellations are made for whatever reason with less than 30 days notice. Any refunds will be paid within 30 days.

Alterations to the design - Alterations can be made to the design up to 30 days before the collection/delivery. date  If this affects the cost, the final balance will be adjusted accordingly.

Allergies and dietary requirements - Nuts: My husband has a nut allergy. Only our Brownies  (walnuts) and Nutella Buttercream (Hazelnuts) contain nuts. Nut ingredients are not stored on the premises, and are ordered in specifically for bespoke orders. Whilst the rest of our products  are free from nuts, we cannot make the guarantee that the ingredients we used have not been contaminated at their source. If you do have a nut allergy, please do drop me a line so that we can discuss your requirements.

Eggs: All of our products are free from eggs.

Alcohol: All of our products are free from alcohol.

Wheat and Gluten: We specialise in Gluten Free cake couture.

Dairy: We do offer a range of dairy-free cakes.

Vegan: We specialise in Vegan cake couture

Collection and Delivery - Collection is available from our base in Docklands, and on occasion from our kitchens in Harrow. Delivery is available throughout South East England. London delivery charges for celebration cakes start from £12.  Delivery and set-up charges for wedding cakes start from £30.
